Joining Ilkley Choral Society 🎶

Unleash your passion for singing and be part of an extraordinary musical journey. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the choir! 

We don’t run auditions and we welcome singers of all levels and experience, whether you’re Soprano, Alto, Tenor or Bass!

An ability to read music helps a lot, but as long as you have a passion for singing and a desire to perform alongside others you’ll be most welcome. If you’re less experienced we’ll try to pair you with someone in your early weeks so you can gain confidence.

If you’re interested to give us a try you can come along to an open rehearsal before you decide. Our next open rehearsals are at the start of the 2026/7 season on Monday 7th and 14th September 2026. There are several stages when new members are invited to attend open rehearsals throughout the season. Our weekly rehearsals take place on Monday evenings 7.30-9.30pm at Christchurch, The Grove, Ilkley LS29 9LW. The full schedule of rehearsals and concerts can be seen here. You’re also welcome to attend additional rehearsals at Otley Choral Society on Tuesday evenings. 

Our annual subscription cost is £180. If you’re under 30 it’s £90 and FREE for under 18’s. Your subscription includes attendance at all rehearsals and concerts, leadership from a professional conductor and hire of most music. 

Payment can be made annually, twice a year or in 6 instalments by Standing Order (cheques or cash can be taken if necessary but should be avoided if possible). Bank details are:
